It’s only fitting that D’Angelo sang this song on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallen to pay tribute to the fallen icon. D’Angelo could barely contain his emotions when he modified the lyrics to sing, “I often dream of Heaven and I know that Prince is there.”
D’Angelo is joined by Maya Rudolph and Gretchen Lieberum, better known as Princess.
The most bittersweet line in the”Sometimes It Snows in April,” is “all good things they say, never last.” Although Prince is gone, the power of his music will last forever.
