I first drove a Prius when it debuted 20 years ago.

I was not impressed by the design and I was confused by the controls. I had to get the rental car clerk to explain how to turn on the vehicle and put it in Drive.

Since then, the Prius and I have come a long way.

I am more technologically savvy and the Prius is more stylish, efficient, and enjoyable to drive.

As I mentioned earlier, the original Prius design was not very attractive.

Toyota’s designers have done a great job of updating the new Prius to make it look modern and stylish.

The headlights are narrower, the grille is larger, and the taillights are wraparound. 

The Limited trim has LED headlights and fog lights, as well as 19-inch alloy wheels. 

I love the silver paint color of the unit I drove. It gave the car a futuristic look.

2023 Prius Limited Interior & Features

The 2023 Prius Limited’s interior is also more stylish, with leather upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats, and a panoramic sunroof.

There is ample leg room in the front and back seats, and the hatchback design also offers a fair amount of trunk space. 

The back seats can be folded down if you need additional storage space.

I was able to store a full-sized wheelchair and a walker.

The 2023 Prius Limited is loaded with features, including a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a head-up display, a JBL premium sound system, and a wireless charging pad. 

I want to make a special note about the charging pad. I’ve driven many vehicles and the Prius’s charging pad is the best one I’ve ever experienced.

It charged my phone quickly and reliably.

The vehicle also has a full suite of safety features, including automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, and adaptive cruise control.

2023 Toyota Prius Limited Performance

The 2023 Prius Limited is powered by a new hybrid system that is powerful and efficient. 

The 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and electric motor combine to produce 196 horsepower, which is 28 horsepower more than the previous model. 

The new hybrid system is smooth and responsive, and the car handles well.

The ride is also comfortable, even on rough roads.

One of the best features of every generation of Prius is the gas mileage.

The 2023 Prius Limited Prius gets an EPA-estimated 52 mpg combined.

This type of gas mileage is remarkable and makes a strong case for owning a hybrid vehicle.
