P.J. Tucker is the starting forward for the NBA’s Houston Rockets. Originally from Raleigh, NC, Tucker attended the University of Texas and previously played for the Phoenix Suns & the Toronto Raptors before joining the Rockets in 2017.
But Tucker is much more than a basketball player. His unique style, rare sneaker collection (he has close to 5,000 pairs), and immense fashion interests make him one of the most unique athletes in all of professional sports.
I met Tucker at a swanky party in Houston attended by several Houston Texans amd Houston Rockets players. The performer for the night was Travis Scott. Tucker, of course, was well-dressed in a red jacket, creme top, and tailored pants, but he was also cordial, open, and friendly to everyone he encountered.
A few weeks after the party, Tucker traveled to Paris for Men’s Fashion Week to mingle with some of the most fashionable people in the world, attend fashion shows, and shop.
Watch this video to get an inside look at Tucker’s global journey through basketball and fashion, and his enduring connection to European culture during his years playing abroad before joining the NBA.
