Over the past few years, we’ve seen some interesting collaborations between menswear brands and automakers. The latest partnership is between two quintessentially British icons – Barbour and Land Rover.
Barbour is a 5th generation, family-owned business, and a leading lifestyle brand manufacturing and retailing wax jackets, waterproof breathable jackets, shirts, knitwear, trousers, and accessories in over 40 countries worldwide.
This collaboration with Land Rover, a company known for making the most luxurious and capable 4x4s, is a natural fit that allows both brands to connect with men who enjoy adventure, luxury, and style.
The Barbour for Land Rover collection draws on the key strengths of both brands.
The clothing details were inspired by details from Land Rover vehicles such as the grille and chamfer lines. Wax, leather, and quilt jackets are flatteringly cut with smart leather trims and the grill pattern is used to clever effect in summer knitwear and tees in soft, elegant styles.
One of the collection’s signature pieces is the waterproof, breathable Burnside jacket. It is light, easy to wear, and designed with the unpredictable British weather in mind.
Other standout pieces include the distinctive Barbour Chesterdon shirt which has been produced in the exclusive Barbour for Land Rover tartan and The Otterstone Tee that proudly takes a heritage image from the Land Rover archives.
The collection will be available in February through Barbour and Land Rover distribution channels worldwide.
