Although John Michael Morris “Hookz”, also known as John Barkim Cooper, spent most of his life in foster homes and group homes, he never allowed his upbringing to quell his passion to succeed.
He started writing songs and performing music as a teenager and has been on a quest to revive hip hop by blending thoughtful lyrics with strong, hook-filled production.
“To inspire you is my only intention,” he said. “So sit back and enjoy the soul.”
