Jackie Venson carries the blues in her soul and it all pours out when she strums her guitar and sings. The talented singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist has the passion of Nina Simone, the grit of Michelle Ndege Ocello, and the tenderness of Corinne Bailey Rae. But Venson is an entirely original artist with a style that is beyond compare.

Venson spent her college years at Berklee College of Music where she majored in composition and studio production. Although her studies improved her musical knowledge and technical skills, no university could teach her how to belt out heart-wrenching songs that make hardened warriors break down and cry. This is an innate skill that Venson honed after many years of banging on a piano keyboard and playing live shows around her hometown of Austin, TX.

Venson is an artist whose talent transcends any genre. While her music is steeped in soul and blues, Venson manages to create universal songs that speak to every part of the human condition.
