If you’re going to go to the rim at Madison Square Garden, you’d better go strong. If not, you will be the victim of a devasting and embarrassing block. Carmelo Anthony and Andre Drummond both learned this lesson the hard way.
In a game against the Portland Trailblazers, Anthony attempted a one-handed, power dunk, but the Madison Square Garden rim wasn’t allowing that weak junk in its house. Anthony caught the front of the rim ended up on his back.
Drummond thought he had the skills to dunk on the Madison Square Garden rim, but he soon discovered that the rim was a more challenging opponent than the entire Knicks team.
The Madison Square Garen rim has to be the best shot-blocker since Dikembe Mutombo. It has my vote for the Defensive Player of the Year.
