Music is my life.
Not only to I enjoy making music, I also love listening to all genres. I have over 30,000 songs in my iTunes library, a vast record collection, and subscriptions to nearly every music streaming service.
But my most prized musical treasures are my guitars. I’ve always wanted to play guitar, but I never had the opportunity to learn, nor did I have the money to purchase an instrument. When I turned 40, I decided to pursue my dream. I bought myself an acoustic guitar and hired a music teacher. As my skills improved I purchased more guitars including a Gibson ES-335, a Taylor 412 Grand Concert, and my favorite – an Eric Clapton Fender Strat. It’s a beautiful instruments that sounds as great as it looks.
Although I love my Strat, I would give it up for a chance to experience the Final Match of the cup surrounded by the most Untamable Fans in the world.
Over the past few weeks, I’ve become a passionate and dedicated soccer fan. I’ve even perfected my “GOOOOOALLLLLLLLLL!” and trash-talked some Brazilian fans at a local Brazilian restaurant. If you’ve also been caught up by the hype of the world’s largest sporting event, you can offer up your most prized possession for a chance to win a trip to one of the countries whose team is playing in the final.
If you’re the type of fan who supports your teams by any means necessary without being obnoxious, visit the BACARDÍ Untameable Fan site and upload a photo of yourself with the item you’re willing to sacrifice to win the trip. You can also visit the Sacrifice Gallery to scope out your competition (warning: this will be a major time suck).
While you’re browsing the site, be sure to check out the ‘Champions Cocktails‘ section where you will find a recipe for Cuba Libre, the official Bacardi drink for the cup.
I’d be remiss if I didn’t share some music with you. Listen to this Cuban-style track “Heaven’s Afternoon” by Wale and Yerba Buena.
