Although Joe is barely into his 40s, he is one of R&B’s elder statesmen.
He is committed to preserving the legacy of great R&B legends such as Luther Vandross, Teddy Pendergrass, Howard Hewett, and Marvin Gaye while invigorating the genre to connect with a new audience.
His new album, “Bridges,” makes those connections with style, class, and authenticity.
Described as a therapeutic retrospective, “Bridges,” takes a look into the multi-talented singer, songwriter, and producer’s past relationships and explores how they have influenced his current perspective on life.
“Relationships are bridges and at some point, we must take responsibility for where we have allowed those relationships to take us,” says Joe.
The album is filled with powerful and thought-provoking ballads like “If You Lose Her;” empowering anthems like “First Lady;” and party-driven jams like, “Take It To The House.”
“Bridges” will be released on June 23, 2014, but can listen to this exclusive preview of the full album on Mocha Man Style.
