This Alabama native and Houston transplant has a sound and style as rich and soulful as her diverse Southern roots.

Suraiye is a singer, songwriter, and producer with a Music Degree from Hampton University. She is currently working with her band members, Oheema V. (Accompanying vocalist), Runyayaro Fana (Percussion/GM), Ikechi Ojore (Bass/M.D.), Mike Hobdy (Keys), Tres Dey (Drums), to record a full-length debut album at Houston’s famed Sugar Hill Studios.
